This workshop will explore some foundational principles of clinical teaching and will introduce participants to a range of practical and effective clinical teaching strategies applied to their own context. Key topic areas will include:
- Characteristics of a ‘good’ clinical teacher
- The role of the clinical teacher
- Role modelling
- Orientating learners to the clinical environment
- How to teach a skill
- Teaching with patients in the clinical setting
