Peer-assisted learning in paramedic education

Peer-assisted teaching is growing internationally as a beneficial pedagogical strategy in health professional education.  Paramedics are continually engaged in teaching students, other health professionals, patients and their families - so these developments are highly relevant to our discipline. Therefore the benefits of peer-assisted teaching within paramedic curriculum is worthy of further investigation.

This project seeks to explore:

  1. Third year students' experiences of teaching and assessing junior students
  2. First year students' experiences of being taught and assessed by senior students
