Course StructureThe Bachelor of Nursing is a three year full-time or six year part-time degree which provides a broad educational foundation for general nursing practice and pathways to future professional employment. Part-time classes are day classes. The course enables students to develop a diverse range of skills in communication, research, clinical reasoning, judgment and skills. It facilitates learning through lectures, tutorials, laboratories and on-line activities for science, nursing, and nursing informatics. The Bachelor of Nursing focuses on particular areas that allow the student to achieve a diverse range of skills. These areas are: Multicultural Nursing, Ethics/Law/Management; Family/Paediatric Nursing; Infection and Immunity; Information Technology; Intensive Care; Medical/Surgical; Mental Health; Science; Pyschosocial Studies; Therapeutics and Medication.
