Entry pathways

1. Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) – satisfactory completion (ie. Pass a minimum of 4 units at level 3 & 4)

Prerequisites:

English (minimum score of 25)
Foundation mathematics or mathematical methods (Units 1 & 2)

Middle band selection:

Applicants who have (a) a study score of 25 in any two of chemistry, biology, psychology, physical education, health and human development, or a study score of at least 25 in mathematics (any) will be deemed to have an ENTER of up to 2.0 percentage points higher.

2. Mature age and other provision

Comparable qualifications – applicants may be admitted to the course on the basis of qualifications deemed to be the equivalent of VCE.

3. TAFE – Certificate IV in Health (Nursing)

Selection will be based on academic results.

4. Other Degrees and Diplomas

Including overseas qualifications.

5. Transition Programs

Applicants who do not have these qualifications are encouraged to study at university level two single units, either on-campus, by distance education, through Open Learning Australia or a nursing bridging program.

Special requirements

Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are eligible for entry under the Monash Orientation Scheme for Aborigines (MOSA). You may also wish to inquire about the special preparatory program offered by the university.

Students who attend schools contained in the Schools with Special Learning Needs Program, the Country Education Project and Special Regional Programs, may have factors which have affected their results in the VCE and will be taken into account in the ranking process for admissions.
