In 1995 he was awarded a NHMRC C.J. Martin Fellowship and pursued post-doctoral studies with Dr Nicholas K. Tonks at the world renowned Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, NY, USA. In September of 1997 he returned to the St. Vincent's Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne, Australia and in 1999 was awarded NHMRC project grant support and established an independent laboratory. In 2000 he was awarded NHMRC R.D. Wright and Monash University Logan Fellowships and moved his lab to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His academic awards include The AMRAD Post-Doctoral Award.Research Links
