Research Interest:

  1. Design and synthesis of novel anti-obesity and anti-diabetic peptide analogues related to human growth hormone, and their study in vitro and in vivo.
  2. Development of insulin derivatives with increased potency and prolonged bioavailability.
  3. Studies of anti-obesity agents of phytochemical origin.
  4. Characterisation of genes conferring complete desiccation tolerance in plants
