2010 Annual Research Conference

Research Conf Winners

The 2010 Annual Research Conference for the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology was held on November 11-12 (Thursday & Friday), and was opened by the department head, Professor Rob Pike. Eighteen of the department's third year PhD students presented their work in front of a large audience in seven seminar sessions over the two days, and 26 PhD students from all year levels presented posters during the Thursday lunch poster session. The program of the conference also included a keynote lecture given by Professor Peter Colman (Head of Structural Biology at WEHI), which was very well attended by the department. The conference was well catered and there was plenty of entertainment, as well as a trade display for the conference sponsors.

The standard of the seminars and posters presented this year was outstanding. Prizes were awarded for the best seminars and posters by Professor Mibel Aguilar. This year's winners are listed in order below.
