Congratulations go to Allyson Croxford (supervised by Merrill Rowley), who is the winner of the August 2009 inaugural 3-Min Thesis competition organised by MRGS.

Allyson discussed using a novel technique looking at infra red spectroscopy utilising the Australian Synchrotron which provided her with vital and new information on the chemical changes that occur to cartilage in the presence of certain antibodies.

There were contestants from all Faculties.  Allyson won a preliminary round and was then selected from the group of students from Medicine, Science and Pharmacy to present in the Final against two other students from Arts/Bus Eco/Ed and IT/Engineering.

Alison was presented with a trophy and a $1000 prize.
