Interests:
I have always been fascinated by how embryos develop and how cells choose to differentiate into different cell types. Stem cells are particularly interesting as they have the capability to regenerate whole tissues. How these cells are normally regulated and what happens in disease processes such as cancer is a focus of my current work.
