Resin Histology/Electron MicroscopyThe Department's processing and sectioning laboratories are well equipped. The sectioning laboratory has 3 Leica RM 2165 microtomes and 3 Leica Ultramicrotomes for cutting both methacrylate and epoxy resins for light microscopy and electron microscopy. Commencing January 2010, all personnel intending to access these services in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology will be required to register as 2010 Approved Users. Registration is required for services offered, OH&S regulations, and certification of payments by financial operations. The annual registration fees are: staff/students of Anatomy and Developmental Biology, $100; staff/students of other SOBS departments, $200; external users, $300 2010 opening hours are as follows:9am-4.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; 9am-3pm Wednesday and Friday Resin Histology and Electron Microscopy Charges
StaffMrs Sue Connell, Laboratory Manager, has worked in resin histology and electron microscopy for over 30 years. Mrs Julie Hickey, Resin Technician, has 17 years experience in resin histology and electron microscopy. |
