Resin Histology/Electron Microscopy

The Department's processing and sectioning laboratories are well equipped. The sectioning laboratory has 2 new Leica RM 2165 microtomes for cutting methacrylate sections and a Jung Supercut 2065 for cutting Epon / Araldite resin sections for light microscopy. We also have 2 Reichert ultratomes for sectioning tissue for basic electron microscopy.

The processing and sectioning laboratories are available

for D.I.Y. work or technical assistance can be provided by Sue Connell and Julie Hickey at the rates described below.
