Library Services

The library has recently been able to replace a large number of ageing PC's with up-to-date models through funding from the Sir Archie Michaelis & Dr J.F. MacKeddie Medical Library Trust. Providing better support for multimedia resources the new PC's feature larger flat-screens, and built-in DVD-ROM players. The new PC's are located at campus libraries at The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital, and Sandringham Hospital.

The Victorian Department of Health has recently announced changes to the range of information resources available on the Clinicians Health Channel. Access to the Cummulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) has been replaced with the following databases :

• Ovid Nursing Database
• British Nursing Index
• Allied and Complementary Medicine Database
• Maternity and Infant Care Database
• EMBASE
