MD Consult - new clinical database available

Bayside Health Library Services has recently subscribed to an exciting new clinical information database. A link to the MD Consult website can be found on the Library's homepage or searched at www.mdconsult.com. The database contains a number of unique online resources not been previously available via the Library Service. Features include :

  • Complete full-text (pdf) content of 54 titles in the Clinics of North America series. These popular journals bring together review articles on themes relevant to a wide spectrum of medical and surgical specialties. Specialist imaging titles include : MRI Clinics, Neuroimaging Clinics, PET Clinics, Radiologic Clinics & Ultrasound Clinics.
  • 90 Ebook titles including : Robbin's Pathologic Basic of Disease, Sleisenger's Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease, Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics, Cumming's Otolaryngology, Mandell Infectious Diseases, Campbell's Urology.
  • 50,000 high quality medical images which can be used for personal PowerPoint presentations. All images are taken from authoritative textbooks and contain captions and citations.
Favourite Ejournal Pages

Users of the Library's ejournals can now streamline their access to regularly read ejournals by creating their own "favourites" page. These pages are passworded and will only display the preferred titles that users want to read on a regular basis. Your favourites page can be established by simply providing the library with a list of journal titles and a password.
