Is our admissions process for the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery delivering what we want in our Monash medical students?
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is currently reviewing selection processes for the MBBS program in order to make sure that we are graduating the best doctors possible, and will host two forums to listen to your views.
"Our alumni can provide vital insight into the admissions process, either through their own experiences as recent students, or in their role as established health professionals who regularly come into contact with our medical students," says Professor Steve Wesselingh, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, who will chair the first forum.
"We want to hear your ideas on our selection processes and how these affect the doctors we graduate, helping Monash to be the best."
The first admissions forum will be held in the S4 lecture theatre, Building 25, Monash University, Clayton Campus, at 6pm for a 6.30pm start on Monday 11 May, and is open to Faculty staff, MBBS alumni, MBBS students and people involved in the selection process.
The second forum will be held in the South 1 lecture theatre, Building 64, Monash University, Clayton Campus, at 6:30pm for a 7pm start on Tuesday 12 May, and is open to the general community.
Refreshments provided. RSVP to +61 3 9902 0025 or medicineadmissions@med.monash.edu.au.
